The subject of Documentation and ICT works the bibliographic search from different reliable sources based on critical reading.
Evidence based medicine and scientific method are the basis for rigorous work that leads to nursing profession development and improvement. From the beginning of the subject, the student is given the necessary tools to apply and use during the rest of their training and professional life, considering that we are part of the knowledge society.
The importance of work based on a methodology makes the profession develop with coherence and rigor.
Information and Communication Technology (ICTs) adds value to the existing methodology and management of the information in order to create documents and analyze and data.
This is a subject of the second semester, which establishes research basis. It continues in Public Health and Nursing Leadership, working the research in a transversal way.
• To identify and apply the parts of structured documents correctly
• To know and use ICT tools, in order to be able to communicate, present and search for information
• To identify and evaluate relevant information obtained from sources and information systems
• To identify the necessary health and / or disease data, in order to properly complete the clinical records
Different activities are performed in this subject:
• teaching activities, dedicated to lectures by teachers.
• supervised activities, dedicated to applying the knowledge learned, using the computer laboratories.
• use of the virtual campus as a tool for communication and practice.
The continuous assessments include three parts: EOCs, oral presentation and written project.
It is compulsory to have at least a minimum score of 5 in the written part to pass the continuous assessment.
Otherwise, students will have the option to perform final evaluation.
The student who does not pass the continuous assessment activities will have the option to perform the final evaluation. A theoretical and practical exam (a given example to develop) would be carried out. A multiple-choice test with four options and an example to develop the practical concepts develop in class but in a theoretical landmark.
As the complexity would be different from the continuous assessment, the maximum score could be a 5.
